Can I burn 24 bit files to an audio CD?

No. Audio CD's are limited to 16-Bit, 44.1 kHz. (that's 44,100 samples per second, with each sample being 16 bits long). 24 Bit recordings are generally recorded at 48 kHz, 96 kHz, or even 192 kHz. Although those are the usual sample rates for 24 bit files, some recorders will only record at 44.1 kHz. So it is possible to have 24 bit, 44.1 kHz files.

What software do you recommend for DVD-audio burning? The link is pretty old, and perhaps there are better options by now.

the link may appear old but the administrator of that site is still around and VERY active. the reality is those are probably still the best options and still the "easiest" to comprehend. if you find another program or alternative, I'd send an email to the site and I am sure he will update it.
